January

Saturday, January 20, 6:00 p.m. - Inaugural Potluck Dinner
A small group of friends showed for the Inaugural Potluck Dinner.  A recount is underway!?!  We finished the evening by watching Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour.
 
Saturday, January 27, 7:00 p.m. - Movie Night
Movie night in the Clubhouse.  Hot movie popcorn will be in abundance for all to savor and a 5 star movie will be on the screen.  Bring your favorite snacks.

February

Saturday, February 10 - Valentine Party
The groundbreaking for the new gazebo was postponed due to inclement weather.  Check back often to see when it will be rescheduled.  The Valentine Dinner, Celebrating Old Loves - New Loves, was a tremendous success.  Everyone enjoyed the bingo and then danced with their love.
Saturday, February 24
1:00 p.m. - Join your friends in the Clubhouse for a Coffee Break.  The purpose is to meet and welcome new members and guests.  Coffee and cookies are provided.
7:00 p.m. - Put on your Toga and enjoy a buffet of cheese, grapes, and cracker snacks at this evenings gathering.

March

Saturday, March 3 - Box Lunch Social
1:00 p.m. - Bring a tasty box lunch to auction.  The proceeds go to the Membership Fund.  A Dessert Bake-Off follows the eating of the lunches.  The desserts will be judged and prizes will be given.
Saturday, March 17 - St. Patrick's Day Potluck
6:00 p.m. - Bring a favorite Irish stew or something green to eat.  OLT will furnish a meat dish.  
8:00 p.m. - St. Patty's Disco in the Clubhouse.
Sunday, March 25 - Potluck Brunch
10:00 a.m. - Spring is in the air.  Let's welcome the warm with an "Impromptu" Potluck Breakfast - call it brunch if you like.
Saturday, March 31 - Bingo Night
7:00 p.m. - A $2.00 donation gets 9 bingo cards (three sheets) for the evening . . . an extra sheet for each additional $1.00 donated.  All proceeds pay for the cards, prizes and future games.

April

Saturday, April 14 - Easter Celebration
There were many eggs for the children to find.  Even the adults had an Easter Egg hunt for prizes.  Everybody stayed for the Easter Favorite's Potluck dinner.  The evening was finished by watching Charlie's Angels.
Sunday, April 15 - Breakfast
9:00 a.m. - There will be a Sunrise Breakfast which will include pancakes and sausage provided by the Club.

May

Saturday, May 5 - Member Appreciation Day
There will be no grounds fees for friends or family members  you introduce to Oaklake Trails this weekend.
1:00 p.m. - There will be a picnic at the Pavilion with all of the fixin's provided by OLT.  Come enjoy the nice spring weather and meet new friends.  
7:00 p.m. -  Join us at Sunset Ridge for a wine and cheese party.  The Club will provide the cheese and crackers.  There will also be the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gazebo.
Saturday, May 12 - Movie Night
We finally had a very nice sunny day.  Jim Miller from SWSA came to OLT to help promote SWSA and AANR.  Many friends came out for the tree dedication at the Oaklake Trails Memorial Gazebo Site at Sunset Ridge.  Later in the evening, we had a potluck.  The night was finished with a Movie.
Sunday, May 13 - Mother's Day
10:00 a.m. - Rise and shine to participate in the Mother's Day brunch.  Fathers will be cooking breakfast for the mothers.  Sign-up list for contributions for the breakfast will be posted (eggs, meat, bread, juice or anything you like for breakfast).
Weekend of May 26 to 28 - Memorial Day Celebrations
Saturday, 10:10 a.m. - Try your hand in one of Oaklake Trails Tournaments
6:00 p.m. - Potluck.  
9:00 p.m. - Dance
Sunday, 3:00 p.m. - Happy 9th Birthday Oaklake Trails!!  Cake will be served.  Bring your favorite ice cream.  Following the cake and ice cream, there will be an auction to help raise money for the 4th of July fireworks.  So clean out our closets and bring donated items to the Pavilion for the auction.  Our favorite auctioneer, Ed, will be doing the honors!  OLT will provide the usual fireworks display for Independence Day Celebrations.  This auction will make for a "Bigger and Better" fireworks display.
Monday, 11:00 a.m. - A Balloon release will be held in the ball park meadow.  This is to remember and pray for those you care about and those we have lost.  Kids of all ages can fill out name and address in the balloons, and see if they receive a reply.

June

Week of June 7 to 15 - Leadership Academy and JFANR Camp
Juniors age 15 to 18 are encouraged to sign up for the Leadership Academy.  The cost is $125.00.  Nude U is June 7 to 15 for Juniors age 18 - 25.  The cost is $200.00.  Junior Florida Association for Nude Recreation Camp for Juniors 11 and older will be June 9 to 15 at Lake Como in Tampa, Florida.  If you have children who would like to attend, contact the OLT Office at (918) 324-5999.
Saturday, June 9 - Coffee Break
10:30 a.m. - Come welcome guests and new members with a Coffee Break.  Beverages and cookies will be provided by OLT at the Clubhouse.
6:30 p.m. - Potluck
9:00 p.m. - Dance
Sunday, June 17 - Father's Day Breakfast
10:00 a.m. - Mothers will be cooking breakfast for the fathers.  Sign-up list for contributions will be posted.  Eggs, meat, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, muffins or rolls, juice, anything you like and lots of cooks needed.
 
Week of June 17 - 24 - SWSA Convention
This summer the SWSA Convention will be at Sandpiper's Resort in Texas.  It's a FIESTA.  Register on the web at SWSA and click on Sandpiper's.

Despite the extreme heat, those who stayed to watch the Fireworks display were in for quite a show.  This was the best fireworks display that OLT has ever put on.
Saturday, July 14 - Ice Cream Social
2:00 p.m. - Ice Cream Social at the Pavilion.  Bring your favorite ice cream to share.  Following the ice cream social, there will be Kite Flying in the Ball Park, if the winds permit.
Saturday, July 21 - Hawaiian Luau
6:30 p.m. - Ready for another Hawaiian Luau??  The Club will furnish the PIG.  Bring dishes to compliment the occasion.  Prizes will be given for the best homemade Hawaiian hat.  Wear your grass skirt and Lei.  Hawaiian music . . . Can you hula?.
Saturday, July 28 - Non-Renaissance Weekend
1:00 p.m. - Jousting in the pool?  What???????  Knock your buddy off the "noodle" in the pool.
3:00 p.m. - Archery or darts contest for the OLT Knights
Knights wear a feather in your hat.  Mylady wear something in your hair.  We never know what else will happen this day.
6:30 p.m. - Finger foods only feast.

August

Saturday, August 4 - Pre-Armadillo Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check the Clubhouse and the Office  for times of the Egg Toss, Limbo (How low can you go?), Shaving Cream "Chase" for kids of all ages, and Hula Hoop (Swing them hips).
6:30 p.m. - Dress up food dishes for a Potluck.
9:00 p.m. - Armadillo Dance

3:00 p.m. - Join us in the Pavilion for afternoon lemonade with new members and visitors.
6:30 p.m. - Cold Pot Luck Dinner with Summer salads and sandwiches.
8:30 p.m. - Bingo in the Pavilion.  Cards are 2 for $1.00 with all proceeds going to the fund for Event Gifts.

September

Weekend of September 1 to 3 - Labor Day Weekend
Volleyball begins at 10:00 a.m. with the organization of teams.  Pick players, name your team, and select your team captain.  Practice with your team until the tournament begins at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Register your team at the Office by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Shuffleboard players sign up in the Office by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Tournament.  
Saturday, 1:00 p.m. - Body Painting at the Clubhouse.
1:30 p.m. - Member Sponsored Benefit Luncheon
4:00 p.m. - Water balloon relay.
6:30 p.m. - Potluck dinner at the Pavilion.
8:30 p.m. - Come to cheer at the Kid's Talent Show in the Pavilion.  Stay for the dance in the Pavilion after the Kid's Talent Show.
Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - Member Sponsored Benefit Auction
2:00 p.m. - Egg Toss

Saturday, September 15
1:00 p.m. - Get an early start on Christmas.  Learn how to make bows in the Pavilion.
4:00 p.m. - Strap on your helmet and show-up in the meadow for a Golf Cart Race.
6:30 p.m. - Potluck Dinner
9:00 p.m. - Dance
Saturday, September 22
Prepare for the winter months as you learn how to make a robe or coat.  Contact the OLT Office for materials and time.

October

Saturday, October 6 - OktoberFest
6:30 p.m. - Wear a tie or hat and share your favorite German dish at the Potluck.
9:00 p.m. - Stay for the Dance.  Location (Clubhouse or Pavilion) depends on the weather.
Saturday, October 13 - Trail of Tears 5K Run
Follow this link for more information.  Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let's help race for the cure at the Trail of Tears 5K Fun Run, Walk, Crawl.  The starting gun sounds at 2:00 p.m.  Even if you are not a runner, come out and walk with your friends.  Entry fee is $20.00 and you get a great T-shirt.  Registration forms are available at the Office.  Also, volunteer help is needed during the Event.
Saturday, October 27 - Halloween
6:00 p.m. - Potluck Dinner.  Bring finger foods and snacks to share . . . with a Halloween theme. 
8:00 p.m. - Costume judging begins.  The categories are for men, women, and children.  Be creative . . . bare as you dare.  Stay for the dance afterwards.

November

Saturday, November 4 - Susan Komen Race for the Cure in Austin, Texas
A group of SWSAers are walking in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure.  If you want to join the "AANR Walkers for the Cure" you can still register for the race by going to http://www.austinraceforthecure.org.   There will be an AANR banner identifying those SWSAers.  Call at 512-499-0405 or 800-743-0405 (Monday thru Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and you will be given directions to the offices where the SWSAers are planning to meet on the morning of the race.   Hope to see you there!
 
Saturday, November 17 - Thanksgiving
6:00 p.m. - OLT will furnish turkeys and hams for the Thanksgiving Feast.  Members will bring the side dishes (rolls, veggies, desserts, etc.) to go with the meats.  This is the potluck feast of the year, so come hungry.
8:30 p.m. - The movie, The Christmas Story, will be shown . . . an evening of memories that promises to take you back in time.  

December

Saturday, December 1 - Potluck and Bingo
6:00 p.m. - Break out your best recipes for homemade chili and soup or stew for the potluck.  First place prizes will be awarded for the best chili and the best soup or stew.  Don't have a recipe?  That's O.K.  We'll need cornbread, corn chips, grated cheese, crackers, etc., but not desserts.  OLT will furnish ice cream after dinner.  Then we break out the bingo cards.  Tonight's grand prize is one million dollars.  Just kidding, but that got your attention.
Saturday, December 15 - Christmas
2:00 p.m. - Join us as we decorate the tree in the Clubhouse.  In the past, members have brought an ornament to place on the tree and add to the collection accumulated over the years.  
6:00 p.m. - Bring snacks and finger foods to potluck to share the Christmas Spirit.  Then watch out!  Immediately afterwards, it's the annual Christmas Gift Exchange.  Each person participating brings a wrapped humorous or gag gift to put in the exchange.
Monday, December 31 - Red, White and Blue Nude Year's Eve at the Trails
Don't miss this Members' Only evening of food and fun.  BYOB Happy Hour begins at 7:00 p.m. . . . Your opportunity to mingle with the crowd and make sure you know everyone there.  At 8:00 p.m., the overhead lights dim and the disco lights come on as we crank up the stereo and party into the next year.  OLT will have lots of snacks, soft drinks, a Midnight Champagne Toast and atmosphere.  All that is missing is you.  Bring your favorite snack food creation to share and the beverage of your choice.  Join us to celebrate FREEDOM at the end of a trying year.  If you dress or decorate, the theme is Red, White and Blue.
