January
- Sunday, January 1 - Nude Year's Day Breakfast
- 9:00 a.m. - Pancake and sausage breakfast in the Clubhouse. The breakfast is hosted by the chapel group. A $4.00 per person cost will be used as a fund raiser for the chapel building program.
RSVP by Thursday, December 29, 2005.
- 12:00 p.m. - Help un-decorate the tree. Bring sandwiches and your favorite black-eyed pea recipe to share during the football games.
- Saturday, January 7 - Marvin J's Memorial Service
- 2:00 p.m. - Join us at the Clubhouse to remember Marvin. A buffet
luncheon will be provided as we share our favorite "Marvin
stories".
- Saturday, January 7 - Registration Deadline for Survivor Oaklake Trails
- This pre-registration is to establish the number of basic teams we
will have. Visitors on the grounds will be placed on one of these
basic teams. There will be a start-up meeting around April
29th. The first Survivor Challenge will take place on May 27th
during Memorial Day Weekend. The tentative dates of the remaining
challenges are June 10th and 17th, July 15th and 29th, August 12th and
26th. The final Survivor Challenge will be September 2nd with the
awards on September 3rd of Labor Day Weekend. Don't worry, the
challenges will allow everyone the opportunity to play. The team
can choose their most "physically able" to handle a physically

- 8:00 p.m. - Come with your black tie and pearls. Music will be provided by Brad,
The Music Man.
- Saturday, January 21 - OLT Game Day and Chili Cook-Off
- 1:00 p.m. - Meet at the Clubhouse for games (ping-pong, darts, pool or cards).
- 6:00 p.m. - Get ready for the Chili Cook-Off to end all cook-offs. The judging will be done by members casting a penny per vote. Cooks should provide not only your best chili recipe but a also a container (decorated or not) to capture the pennies. The proceeds will go to the Tots and Teens Fund. Rob your penny bank and get ready for some great eating.

- With everyone's help let's use this weekend to clean-up the signs of winter around the Club grounds and individual lots.
Sandwiches will be served until 6:00 p.m. for a donation to the Chapel
Fund.
- 6:30 p.m. - Meet in the Clubhouse to celebrate March birthdays.
This will be a dessert only potluck. Then we will join Jackie and Kevin in a Sing-A-Long. Remember, if someone in your family has a March birthday bring their favorite birthday treat to share.
(Weather permitting, this event could be postponed until the weekend of April
1st and 2nd).

- Saturday, April 1 - Don't Be Fooled
- 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. - This will be a clean-up weekend with George Bene’ offering food and snacks near the Pavilion.
There will be no Sing-Along or potluck, but join your friends at the OLT Clubhouse to relax and visit.
If you play an instrument bring it along and we might just end up with a “Jam Fest” OLT style.
- Sunday, April 2 - Spring Forward an hour to Daylight Savings Time.
- Saturday, April 8 - Easter Egg Hunt at the Trails
- 2:00 p.m. - Adults (13 years of age and up) Easter Egg Hunt. Meet at the Clubhouse with your basket to get your directions where to go. It will be within walking distance.
Find the lucky eggs and bring them back to the Clubhouse to see what you have won.
If the weather does not cooperate, we will try to have it on Saturday, April 22nd.

Clubhouse.
- Sunday, April 9 - Children's Easter Egg Hunt
- 12:00 p.m. - Easter baskets will be provided for the children. If the weather is unfavorable, this egg hunt will be moved to Saturday, May 27th.
- Saturday, April 15 - Tax Day Celebration
- Celebrate the IRS Tax Deadline by meeting your friends, new and old, at Oaklake Trails for a day of games and fun.
- 6:00 p.m. - Join everyone at the Clubhouse for Tax Day Potluck. Celebrate that you have 365 days until this day comes around again.
- Sunday, April 16 - Easter Sunrise Service
- 8:00 a.m. - Easter Sunrise Service at the Gazebo (weather permitting) or in the Clubhouse.
- 9:00 a.m. - The Chapel Group will provide pancakes, sausage, juice and
coffee or hot chocolate in the Clubhouse. A minimum donation of $4.00
will be welcomed and appreciated.
- Saturday, April 22 - Finish any Spring Clean-up chores and prepare OLT grounds and your lot for Spring planting. Continue on to Sunday, April 23rd if needed.

- Celebrate Spring with the planting of flowers around the campgrounds and our individual lots.

to the Chapel Fund on Rick and Ann's deck.
- 6:00 p.m. - April Birthdays will be celebrated with a Potluck in the Clubhouse

- 10:00 a.m. - Meet at the Clubhouse for a chance to get better acquainted with the OLT Sisterhood. We will have an informal gathering we are calling “Getting to Know You: Caring Enough to Share”.
- 1:00 p.m. - Vicki will be starting her 30 minute sessions of Reflexology on Feet or Hands. Be sure to schedule your time. Don’t forget to dress for the Kentucky Derby. Come and enjoy
Virgin Mint Juleps during the racing of the Kentucky Derby.
- 7:00 p.m. - It’s Ladies’ Day and our favorite men will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs with chips and all the trimmings.

- Memorial Day Weekend - "Kitchen Shower"

Our kitchen is in need of restocking disposable dinnerware and silverware. It would be greatly appreciated if, on this weekend or on your next visit, everyone would bring one new package of disposable dinnerware silverware, and a new kitchen towel You may leave your items in the office when you arrive.- Saturday, May 27
- 10:00 a.m. - OLT's First Survivor Contest. Meet in the
Pavilion. Teams will be announced, any visitor wanting to play will be assigned to a team, and the rules will be established for the season’s scoring. The dates for the contests are: Saturday, May 27th; Saturday, July 1st; Saturday, September 2nd; and Sunday, September 3rd. You do not have to be present for each of these contest dates, but those that are will receive a nice reward in the end!!!!!
If you do miss a day of contests, visitors with OLT that want to play will be substituted for you.
- 12:00 p.m. - If children’s Easter Egg Hunt was postponed on April 9th this will be the make up day.
Meet at the clubhouse, baskets will be provided. Ages: 12 and younger
- Pool will be opened!!!!! Enjoy a cool refreshing swim.
- Later in the afternoon, gather your family and friends for a friendly game of Nerf Softball.
- 6:00 p.m. - Join us for the May Birthday Potluck. If someone in your family celebrates a May birthday bring their favorite birthday dessert to the potluck.

- 9:00 a.m. - Worship in the Gazebo.
- 2:00 p.m. - OLT Birthday Celebration followed by the OLT Auction. Please bring your “treasures” to donate for the auction to the pavilion this morning. The money raised will be used for the Fourth of July Celebration.
- At dusk enjoy “An Evening Under the Stars”. Bring your towel, blanket, lawn chair, or golf cart to the front lawn of the clubhouse for a night of family fun and enjoyment. If you play a musical instrument you might even want to have it with you.
- Monday, May 29 - Relax and visit.
- REMINDER: The OLT Talent Show is scheduled for June 10th. Please be working on your presentation for the show. You may enter your name and talent that morning with the office or with Rick or Ann L. Let’s make it bigger and better than in 2004!
- ATTENTION: The Activity Committee needs you, if you are familiar with any popular dances from the past decades. If you would like to volunteer to share the dance steps with us please let Ann L., Activity Chair. We would like to schedule a time, between now and December, for you to teach us how your dance or dances are done.

- Saturday, June 3 - Red Hat Pizza Luncheon
- 12:00 p.m. - Meet at the pavilion for lunch and an organizational
meeting. Wear your full regalia: over 50 wear a red hat and/or
purple outfit; under 50, wear a pink had and/or lavender outfit. In the
event of inclement weather, the location will be in the Clubhouse.

- Traveling potluck at Jerry and Vicki's. If you are not sure, just
ask and someone will direct you to the location. Remember, guests
bring a covered dish, their beverage of choice and their own lawn
chair. The hosts provide the setting and the tableware. Hope to
see everyone there for a great meal and a good time!!

might want to go and check out the "Bike Rally" at the corner of
Route 66 and Milfay Road.

- Deadline for food donations for the Stroud Food Pantry Fund Raiser need to be taken to the Senior Citizen Center.
They are looking for cakes and pies.

- Chaplain Carol is on the Board of Directors for the Stroud Food Pantry.
Area churches add their support to the Food Pantry. OLT Chapel is spearheading the "Santa Sack" program to provide Christmas goodies for the 80+ families currently getting help from the Pantry.
Tickets ($5.50 for adults, $3.50 for children and free for ages 5 and under) for the Chili, Beans, Stew Dinner Fund Raiser will be available at the OLT Office.
- Saturday, October 14 - Red Hat Meeting and Traveling Potluck
- 9:00 a.m. - Annual Robe-Making Craft Class. Bring 2 1/2
to 3 yards of fleece fabric (all over print, not directional) for each robe
you wish to make. If you have a portable sewing machine, please bring
it, as well as scissors and a spool of thread to match your fabric.
There will be a machine there, for use by those who don't have a sewing
machine.
- 11:00 a.m. - Meet at the Clubhouse to carpool to Sapulpa to eat lunch at the Chinese Buffet in the Reasor's Shopping
Area in Sapulpa.
Members are to wear "Full Regalia".
- 3:30 p.m. - Paper Bag Scavenger Hunt. Meet in the Pavilion.
The winner will receive $$.
- 6:00 p.m. - Traveling Potluck at Larry and Deronda's with a German theme, weather permitting.
If weather does not allow it, the potluck will be in the Clubhouse.

- Saturday, October 21 - Meet and Greet Game Day
- 1:00 p.m. - Meet in the Meadow for a male vs. female nerf football game. May the best team win.
- Later in the day, there will be a Bingo Game. There will be a charge
of $0.25 charge per card and the money will be the grand prize for blackout at
the end. If you plan on participating in the Bingo Game, please bring a
small gift ($1.00 or less) in a brown paper bag to be put on a table for
prizes.

and a smile".

- 2:00 p.m. - Tots and Teens Halloween body painting at the Clubhouse. OLT members will cast votes for the best body painting and prizes will be awarded.
- 5:00 p.m. - Tots and Teens Trick or Treat. Have some treats ready for our little OLT ghosts and goblins. Parents RSVP to the Office

if your children will be participating so there will be enough treats.
- 6:00 p.m. - If someone in your family has an October birthday, bring their favorite birthday dessert and dress in your favorite Halloween costume for the event.
- 7:00 p.m. - Haunted House for the Tots and Teens. The location will depend
on the weather. It will either be at the Clubhouse or the
Pavilion.
- 8:00 p.m. - There will be a dance with Brad and you will be taken to a mystery location where
the dance will be held. Are you brave enough to attend? It
may be cold outside, so make sure you dress appropriately. Remember it is almost Halloween.

- 2:00 p.m. - There will be a baby shower for Dawna (Jim
& Melissa's daughter) at the Clubhouse. Dawna says she prefers
green and yellow for baby items and likes Duckies for the cute things.
Dawna is registered at Babies-R-Us, but will welcome any gift for their
baby. Daddy is in the military, so he may not get back for the
event. However, OLT ladies are pitching in to make it a terrific party
to welcome Dawna's baby. Contact Chaplain Carol for more information.
- Saturday, November 11 - Red Hat Craft and Cookie Boutique and Veterans' Day Dance
- 11:30 a.m. - Everyone is asked to bring 4 dozen of their favorite cookies - 2 dozen to sample and 2 dozen to
trade in the Clubhouse. Bring plastic containers to hold the cookies you take home.
If you have any crafts to sell, bring them as well, so we can do some Christmas shopping.
Remember, if you are under the age of 50, please wear pink and lavender.

Wear your red, white and blue in honor of our past and present veterans.

- The OLT Chapel group has been invited to join the Stroud Methodist Church
& Disciples Church for Thanksgiving Worship and Fellowship dinner.
Each Church has been asked to bring a basket to be given out by the Stroud
Food Pantry to a family in need. We will have a basket in the Clubhouse
- we are asking for canned & boxed foods. Cash donations will
be used to purchase turkeys, ham or other fresh meat, milk & bread.
Recommendations for the food basket are: Canned meats (such as Danish
hams from Dollar General) or cans of flaked chicken, tuna or beef; soups,
canned vegetables, boxes of brownie, cake, cookie or side dishes such as rice
or potato mixes or Stove Top stuffing; chocolate chips, cocoa mixes, coffee or
tea, sugar, creamer, Bisquick, nuts, Christmas candy, cracker, and so
on.
- The Chapel group will also be filling Santa Sacks - there will be
about 50 to be filled with toys or other goodies for a child of Food Pantry
families. For the Santa Sacks, small toys, mittens, socks & stocking
caps in various sizes, from child to adult, small toys such as cars, dolls,
stuffed animals, (Dollar Tree or Deals), candies, gum, small hand lotions
& chapsticks, food items such as canned meats, boxed desserts & side
dishes, cocoa mixes, etc.
- The chapel group will also be filling Santa Sacks - I’ll have about 50 to be filled with toys or other goodies for a child of Food Pantry families. A few people have asked about donating money for the Santa Sacks. If you wish to do so, we will purchase items specified by the pantry as a dire need by a person being served - such as diapers, formula, first aid or toiletries, special dietary needs. If you wish to donate hand lotions or shampoos and soaps, we will have several Senior Citizen Santa Sacks as well.
I’ll be taking the Thanksgiving basket to the church with us Sunday night, and the Santa Sacks after our Christmas party

- P.S. - even if you don’t usually attend chapel, they have invited as many from OLT as would like to attend the dinner. Since they’ve reached out to include us, I’d like to see a good representation from OLT.

- Saturday, November 18 - Thanksgiving Day Dinner
- 5:00 p.m. - Celebrate a "Time of Thanksgiving" with your friends and family at OLT.
On this day there will be a Thanksgiving Dinner. OLT will provide turkey and ham, coffee, tea or water, and the table place settings for the dinner.
Members are asked to provide the side dishes.
- "Fill a Santa Sack for Christmas" - During the dinner, sacks will be distributed for this event.
We ask that you return your filled sack by the weekend of December 2nd and
3rd. Thank you.

- There are Interest Indicators available in the OLT Office for members in good standing who are interested in serving on a committee or running for a position on the Board of Directors. The form is simple to complete and needs to be submitted to Ruth, Jerry, Dennis,
Gary or Diana.
- Saturday, December 2 - December Birthday Potluck followed by decorating the OLT Christmas Tree.
- 6:00 p.m. - December Birthday Potluck followed by decorating the OLT
Christmas tree. Join Carol as she leads us in singing Christmas carols
as we decorate our tree. Members are asked to donate an ornament for the
tree to help update our supply. Come and celebrate the season with
friends and family. Please return your filled SANTA SACK you received at
the Thanksgiving dinner.

will be the last time Keith performs this year. Be sure to attend,
especially if you have never heard him. He provides great entertainment.

Please bring each child in your family a gift in the $10.00 - $15.00 range for
Santa to give to them. The Youth will have their party upstairs while the
"older" members enjoy their downstairs.

year. Following this social time, Brad, The Music Man, will provide
the music for the last dance of 2006. OLT will be furnishing finger
foods, party items and a Midnight Toast. There will be a $10.00 cost per
person and please RSVP to the OLT Office at
