The History

NCLW began in September of 2019. Our first sober home for veterans was opened on January 10, 2020. In the first three years we have served 9 veterans who have gained employment, maintained sobriety, and worked to overcome barriers from their pasts.

The Mission

Our mission is to create a 100-home community to serve veterans experiencing homelessness to assist in creating a "functional zero" status in Oklahoma City where there would be more housing available than the number of homeless veterans on the streets. Our focus is to provide wrap around services such as substance abuse groups, mental health, employment and other resources to the veterans on campus or in their homes.  The homes will be low income based and all bills paid to assist the veterans in affording rent, and each home will have a yard to allow veterans to bring their beloved animals with them.
